May future fashion enthusiast, may future chef, at may future film maker. And guess what, isa sa kanila ay nagbabalik Jimpy Loves TV and Life Too! And clue, pangatlo niya na to dahil nag Jimpy TV siya noon. :)
Last August 31, 2013, nagcelebrate si Macee ng kanyang 18th birthday which is of course, mahalaga sa bawat babae. (Tandaan niyo ako rin nag-celebrate. Hahaha.) It was held at Jardin de Isabel. :)
- Jimpy Loves TV and Life Too: Hello Macee! Welcome back dito sa Kwento Mo segment ng Jimpy Loves TV! So isa kasi sa mga masayang i-share ng bawat tao ay yung katuparan ng mga dreams and goals nila, short term or long term. So recently lang, na-achieve ang isang goal mo as a woman, tama ba? Ano ito?
- Macee: I'm happy that Jimpy Loves TV is having me again! Yes, you're right. Finally, I am eighteen years old! Blessed with eighteen blissful years of life last August 23. And the greatest gift ever is that my parents gave me my dream debut.

- Jimpy: Ayan ang sinasabi kong dream! The dream debut? So ano bang meron sa debut mo? Ano ba ang dream debut mo?
- Macee: I wanted a Disney Tangled-themed party. Hehe seems childish but yes, I loved Tangled and it's currently my favorite Disney Tale. So ayun, from the venue, the invites to the cake, talagang pinagsikapan namin na kahit pano lumabas yung Tangled na theme. Although it was not super bongga, but it was my dream debut indeed.
- Macee: Actually, yes. Parang sinabi ko na sa sarili ko na, turning 18 is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing, and since alam mo naman, I'm such a girly girl! I wanted to wear a beautiful long gown and be happy walking in it, feeling na finally, I'm legit! I'm a big girl, but I'm still my parents' baby and here I am making them proud of what I've become because they raised me well.
- Jimpy: Ay bongga! Nako totoo naman yan. So papaano naman nabuo ang debut mo? From the planning to the everything, make kwento!
- Macee: The Venue: Jardin De Isabel. I discovered this beautiful place online! I couldn't believe na it's located around Sta. Ana, manila, very near our home so I liked it immediately. And when I first visited it, grabe sabi ko, "this is my venue, it's perfect!" Malinis surroundings, Simple, elegant and well, my mom, sis and I loved it Immediately! I actually did most of the pre planning, but thank God we have Sir Bong, the coordinator to help us on the day. Pati invitations I really made an effort na ako personally gagawa, and I was glad to receive good feedback syempre dugo't pawis ko yun! Haha. My gown was designed by the lovely Ms. Nila Ventura. Grabe I loved the gown so much! It was in the color I liked and Ms. Nila really gave me what I dreamed of so ayun I was so happy. My hair and make up was done by my ate Belle Agulan, a very close family friend and M.I.B photography covered the event, could you believe ka batch natin sila Ivan and Gia from MIB? I love their work!

- Jimpy: Oh bongga, dami palang tumulong sayo! Sige, now I will give you this opportunity to thank everyone who helped you in this event.
- Macee: First of all, thank you to my parents, alam ko na super busy kayo but you still never discouraged this dream of mine to hold a party. I appreciate all you've done for me and my sister, mom and dad. To Sir Bonga Cantero and Ms. Diding, your efforts to make my party a success ay hindi mapapantayan. Ninang Pinky Adolpho of Kool Keyks who designed and made my lovely Tangled Cake and cupcakes, everyone loved it, talagang binuhay niyo po lalo theme ng debut ko ninang Pinky thank you po. Ate belle, you don't know how I appreciated na minove mo yung flight mo coz we dreamed of the moment na aayusan mo ko for my debut! Love you lots! Dj, my sister, you are the most patient person I know, thank you DJ! And to MIB Photography, keep up the good work, thanks for capturing the moments Ofcourse to everyone who came especially my Paulinian friends, kahit na katatapos lang ng play natin pumunta pa din kayo, you guys don't know how happy you made me. And Jimpy [Loves] TV [and Life Too![ for letting me share the happening during my debut.
- Jimpy: Aba pati ang blog ko nasali. Hahaha. Thank you rin for sharing! Anyway, so ano ang pinakaexciting at pinakamasayang events ng iyong preparation?
- Macee: My trips to my gown designer's shop of course! The fittings, seeing how the gown is slowly coming to life :-)) Super excited ako each meeting namin hehe!
- Jimpy: Paano ka ba namili ng gown? Share the feeling of excitement!
- Macee: Dahil payatots ako, at lalo pa akong pumayat dahil sa intensive workout, este theater, (which I enjoyed very much) I search for serpentina gown pegs and actually, mukha daw wedding gown yung gown ko! Hahaha. That was according to the designer mismo and some of my friends. Buti nalang Pink hindi white! And i had many choices, but before I went to my designer nakapili na ako (finally) ng isa :-))
- Jimpy: Hahaha! Wedding gown nako wag i-advance! Chos. How about the downside of planning? Anong pinaka masasabi mong, di masyadong magandang experience sa planning and how did you overcome it?
- Macee: It's stressful. Especially pag may iba ka pang iniintindi like school. Kinailangan kong mag adjust ng schedule para sa meetings, had to stay up late to finish the invites, and ofcourse ako din nagdeliver ng invites, and tumatanggap ng mga rsvp so pag may nagsasabing "i won't be able to attend.." syempre dumadagdag sa stress! Haha! But I kept calm and believed that the Lord will bless me with a successful and happy celebration.
- Jimpy: And so how did the party turn out? Masaya ba, matagumpay?
- Macee: Masaya super! The guests were very cooperative sa games and I was really happy with that! The food was also delish!! And when you're cdlebrating with people you love, howbcan you not be happy diba? And there were many surprises for me that night! Grabe as in na surprise talaga ako :))
- Jimpy: And some of the surprises? Can you share?
- Macee: My cousin prepared a duet for us! Buti nalang I know the song na pinili niya kasi impromptu talaga haha. And my best friends prepared a video montage showing my wacky photos and awkward dancing moments with them! Hahaha I loved it kahit nakakahiya And my favorite surprise that night was when my grandfather performed a song with my family. My lolo is one of mt biggest influences in music, kaya pala may dala siyang electric guitar sa kotse, tutugtog pala siya! Grabe ang galing nila naitago nila sakin un, I almost cried! :'-)
Macee's grandpa and dad performed at her debut. So sweet. |
- Jimpy: Wow jusko. Ang saya naman ng debut mo girl! Hahaha. So sa mga girls na magcecelebrate ng kani kanilang debut in the coming years, anong maibibigay mong piece of advice sa kanila?
- Macee: Work around with your budget. A successful party doesn't have to be super expensive, so wag malulungkot if your parents tell you na ganito yung budget niyo etc.. kayang kaya mo i work yan! Lalo pag ikaw mismo magpaplano.. next, plan atleast 3-5 months before kasi ang venues madalas mauunahan ka sa date na gusto mo so unahin dapat ireserve yun Be realistic about what you want, and be happy sa outcome, dahil pinaghirapan mo yan, ng parents mo. Oh and make sure na kukuha ka ng trusted event planner or caterer, be warry of scams etc.
- Jimpy: Speaking of budget, can you spill your budget? Hahaha. Or if not, nameet ba ang budget? Naka-save ka pa?
- Macee: Hmm lahat lahat, ours was around 80-95k hihihi nako di na ko naka save, super stretched na yan, with permission from parents :-))
- Jimpy: Ay wow dinisclose. Haha. But after all of these, worth it ba ang lahat ng pagpaplano, ang pag-aantay, and how did you measure that?
- Macee: Super worth it! When I saw that my family was having a good time, sabi ko talaga, "Thank you Lord." Syempre ayoko naman na ako lang masaya, and the crowd that night was mostly young so probably mag eenjoy talaga sila dahil we love parties di ba? But when my grand parents and parents were telling me how happy they are, I felt na I did my part well, I made them proud and happy.
- Jimpy: Congratulations Macee! Haha! So any final words sa pagdedebut?
- Macee: Turning eighteen is a blessing, whether or not may formal party ka, it doesn't really matter, as long as you're healthy, you're happy and you have loving people to share that important day with. Being a lady for me is realizing na you have the freedom, but you have bigger responsibilities now, and of course know na kayang kaya mo gan girl! Be a role model to younger people and keep improving your talents amd skills and discover yourself, that way you can love yourself even more and be ready for a bright future!
- Jimpy: Ayan! haha so congrats Macee dahil nairaos mo ang 18th birthday mo with a blast! Thank you sa pagpapaunlak! Sa 4th time natin uli! Hahaha!
- Macee: Thank you so much Jimpy and Jimpy Loves TV. It always feels like home with you!
Just like Macee, she has achieved her dream debut. :)
